I'm not sure if Kidrobot has stepped up their game this past couple of months with some fantastic releases, or it's a calculated plan to make half their fan-base broke. When I first saw the SDCC Exclusive version with his pretzel in one hand and beads in another, I thought it was a shame that they would release the best one first followed by a standard color version.
Well how very wrong i was the Gold one is great but so is this one, I'd go as far as to say this one looks a tad better with the accents of color. At 7-inchs tall and inspired by THE SIMPSONS episode “Goo Gai Pan,” in which Homer poses as Buddha to gain entry into an orphanage in China this is a must own for any Simpsons fan.

Dan got started doing f/x painting then moved on to painting toy prototypes freelance in 1999. There are a bunch of great examples of production toys on his site. A few of his customs are pictured below BUT before we get to the customs (and before I start getting hate mail), I want to address something.
Some people might object to my statement above about "Johnny-Come-Latelys trying to ride the wave and one trick amateurs" but I stand by it. Every artistic field has these, there is nothing unique about custom toys in that respect. I'm not calling anyone out and I have no interest in "naming names" so don't bother asking. (However, if you read that sentence and got bent out of shape, maybe that is a sign that you know you need to step up your game.)
So, what does that mean for the rest of us? Let me be clear here: my point in contrasting those people with someone like Dan (and there are plenty of others) isn't meant to be derogatory. It is meant to be inspirational. Talented, hard working people in any field help show us what is possible and provide inspiration for what might be next or even the next next thing. My view is that we should all be constantly improving our techniques through practice and helping each other by providing honest feedback and suggestions. And this goes double for Johnny-Come-Latelys and amateurs. Welcome to this big messy world, now get to work!

As promised, a new design from the Tosco: Alpha Series Kickstarter project has now been revealed. This latest design, Grrr 0, is by Fuller Designs and is available at the $50 donation level. But as nice as these formats are I suggest going ahead and moving up to the $65 level and getting this design and a DIY for your own designs.

The Cosmic Strike Corps (CSC) is a legion of elite recon in the Interstar Grand Army.
Their light armored gear is designed to give maximum movement and flexibility
in combat. Their most essential equipments include dart guns, rayguns, missile blasters
and portable power units. As a result, the Cosmic Strike Corps receive special training
in order to become efficient survivalists to aid in their military role.

Rainbow Hair Ugly Unicorn
John from Rampage Toys has been BUSY. Like international terminal at JFK busy. San Diego Comic-Con. Wonderfestival in Japan. Singapore Toys, Games and Comics Convention. Prep for NYCC. It is no wonder that he hasn't had time to blog!
